I've been pondering about the idea of toddler and teenager newsrooms.
Loose idea:
* Newsrooms face a barrier to launch because of funder resources.
* Toddler newsrooms feel growing pains the small and terrible ways. A health emergency might throw it all out the window. Life is more precarious at this stage.
* Teenager newsrooms probably have the journalism part down, but now are the real growing pains. Can you operate the same way you did when you were a staff of 4, but are now at 45? Culture, strategy and sustainability seems to be the barriers here.
